Enabling and embracing human advancement to adapt to changing times is essential to a progressive school education. Whilst we celebrate and value traditional humanist approaches to learning, the time has arrived to consider a philosophical approach beyond the traditions of education to make this world a better place for other animate and intimate objects along with human societies.
While technology is evermore dominating our lives and decisions collectively as humans, the planet is facing unprecedented catastrophe by the Anthropocene. The planet’s and our societies’ future will be shaped by what we choose to do or not choose to do about it. At SASE, we choose to DO: by enabling an education that makes the world a better place through the potential and uniqueness of each child. The idea that humanity can be transformed and transcended by ethical considerations of technological advances or the evolutionary process; artistic, scientific, or philosophical practice reflects our educational philosophy at SASE- the Posthumanism Education.
Posthumanism is a philosophical stance on what it means to be human. As the dominant species on the planet, we have a moral obligation to steward and safeguard all other beings and systems on the planet. We believe humans can become better. At System for Alternative Schooling and Education, we re-frame education with this philosophy in mind. We want to herald the start of a post-humanist future in which humans and their technologies include other creatures within their ethical framework. Our goal is for children in our school to unlock the best version of themselves through the power of nature and technology in harmony.
In other words, we all want the best for our children. We want them to enjoy growing and learning and to become good people who care for the environment. We want to reduce their screen time to keep them healthy, but we also want them to be adept at using technology. Is there a way to balance it all? At SASE, there is!
Our unique philosophy is tailored to allow children to be curious and expressive without missing out on critical learning goals. We focus closely on nature and technology, encouraging children from a young age to be empathetic to all creatures in the ecosystem, including themselves.
We are bringing meaningful, progressive, flexible and inclusive education that doesn’t require your child to fit in, but to stand out, the education that meets your child's uniqueness. We are positively changing the world through new age learning by Posthumanist educational philosophy: an education that’s first of its kind in India and one the world needs NOW. Education programs which were earlier only available through NIOS in India, are now available with us under an American School Board through our new age programs of open schooling, homeschooling, bridge course, and drop out prevention.
